9. A PHOENICIAN, a Peripatetic philosopher, who lived in the time of Simplicius. (Suid. s. v. πρέσβεις.) Whether he is the same as Diogenes of Abila in Phoenicia, whom Suidas and Stephanus Byzantius (s. v. Ἄβιλα) call a distinguished sophist, cannot be ascertained.
