6. Of SYBARIS, a Pythagorean philosopher (Iamb. Vit. Pyth. 36), who must be distinguished from another Pythagorean, Diodes of Phlius, who is mentioned by Iamblichus (Vit. Pythag. 35) as one of the most zealous followers of Pythagoras. The latter Diocles was still alive in the time of Aristoxenus (D. L. 8.46), but further particulars are not known about him.
