3. A person in whose name Eupolis exhibited his comedy Αὐτόλυκος. (Ath. v. p. 216d.) He is ranked among the poets of the new comedy on the authority of Suidas (s. v. χάραξ, Δημόστρατος Δημοποιἤτῳ) : but here we ought probably to read Τιμόστρατος, who is known as a poet of the new comedy. [TIMOSTRATUS.] (Meineke, Frag. Com. Graec. i. pp. 110, 500.)
