(Κρίνις), a Stoic philosopher who is referred to several times by Diogenes Laertius (7.62, 68, 76), and seems to have founded an independent school within the boundaries of the Stoic system, since the authority of his followers (οἱ περὶ Κρίνιν) is sometimes quoted. He wrote a work called διαλεκτικὴ τέχνη, from which Diogenes Laertius (7.71) quotes an opinion. He is mentioned also by AITian. (Diss. Epict. 3.2.) Suidas speaks of a Crinis who was a priest of Apollo, and may be the same as the one mentioned in a scholion (ad Hom. Il. 1.396).
