A Dictionary of Greek and Roman biography and mythology

(Καλλισθένης), of Sybaris, is mentioned as the author of a history of the Galatians (Γαλατικά), of which Plutarch (De Fiuv. 6) quotes the thirteenth look. But the work must have been of much greater extent, since

Stobaeus (Floril. 100.14) has preserved a fragment of it which belonged to the twenty-third book.
