A Dictionary of Greek and Roman biography and mythology. William Smith, LLD, ed. 1890

(Ἀτταλίων), a physician, who wrote a commentary on the Aphorisms of Hippocrates, which is now lost. His date is very uncertain, as he is mentioned only in the preface to the Commentary on the Aphorisms falsely ascribed to Oribasius, who lived in the fourth century after Christ.
