2. A freedman of Polemo, who espoused the party of Vitellius, and excited an insurrection against Vespasian in Pontus, A. D. 70. It was however put down in the same year, and Anicetus, who had taken refuge at the mouth of the river Cohibus, was surrendered by the king of the Sedochezi to the lieutenant of Vespasian, and put to death.
