A Dictionary of Greek and Roman biography and mythology

(Ἀμώμητος), a Greek writer of uncertain date, who wrote a work on the people called Attaci (Plin. Nat. 6.17. s. 20), and another entitled Ἀνάπλους ἐκ Μένφεως. (Antigon. Caryst. Hist. Mir. 100.164; comp. Aelian, Ael. NA 17.6.) We ought probably to read Ἀμώμητος instead of Ἀτρόμητος in Schol. ad Apoll. 3.179, and Eudoc. Viol. p. 248.
