      poet of the new comedy, two of whose plays are mentioned, <foreign xml:lang="grc">Ὑποβαλλόμεναι</foreign> and <foreign xml:lang="grc">Μνησιπτόλεμος</foreign>. The
      latter title determines his date to the time of Antiochus the Great, about <date when-custom="-217">B. C. 217</date>, for Mnesiptolemus was an historian in great favour with that king. (Suid.
