      book of which is quoted by Athenaeus, although he expresses a doubt about the genuineness of
      the work. (xiv. p. 650d. 653, f.) Aethlius is also referred to by Clemens Alexandrinus (<hi rend="ital">Protr.</hi> p. 30a), Eustathius (<hi rend="ital">ad Od.</hi> 7.120, p. 1573), and
      in the Etymologicum Magnum (<hi rend="ital">s. v.</hi>
