                        against them from the start, fled to the top of the mountain and prepared to
                        meet their destruction. This is what they intended, but the <name type="ethnic">Persians</name> with <name type="pers">Epialtes</name> and
                           <name type="pers">Hydarnes</name> paid no attention to the <name type="ethnic">Phocians</name> and went down the mountain as fast as
